History of MVSS

The Founder of MVSU Shri Lala Kishan Narayan Ji S/o Shri Jhamman Lal Ji from Kanpur has been associated with this union from its very beginning. For a very long period of time he has hold the post of President of Akhil Bhartiya Mahawar General Assembly. On the occasion of its Golden Jubilee the Birth-Saga of Service Union sent by him is being issued in the Family Introduction Manual-2009,which has been excerpted from Golden Jubilee Souvneir,1993.

I want to give a little information to all the people gathered here so that you get to know why and how it was born?On those days General Assembly was very popular in the society. The General Assembly was born in Titarka. The Second Session was held in Bhanot & Third in Rewari. In all those three sessions, except the tribes, customs etc. no concrete programme was taken by the General Assembly.A thought came in Babu Ramlal Ji’s mind that an institution should be founded which is free from all the rituals and do genuine work which will enable the society to improve and help the orphans by providing them better education facilities. When this idea came into action, the search for giving it a name got started.

After very thoughtful thinking,it was given this name-Mahavar Vaishya Service Union(MVSU).On 18th October 1942,the service union was duly established in the auspicious time on the occasion of Vijay Dashmi. On the day of its birth its capital was Rs.3100.The Financial Assistance was started by giving Rs.5 per month to Shri Bholaram Ji Of Alwar.

Later on,the assistance was given to orphan sisters also.A girls school was also established.First in Khairthal and second in Pehal. In Rewari a Gym was also opened in Community Garden. So many houses were looked for but they were not worth being the hostels. In Multan,Seth Harish started serving Narayan Ji.He pleaded for the hostel for students. He promised to give Rs.25000 as assistance. In this happiness,we came to Mintgumri.

Then, we thought for looking for the land for students’ hostel. There was a land of a Professor, which was on sale, who lived in Kanpur. My father wrote the address of Professor Sahab.I went to him,he asked me for which purpose do you want to buy it?I told him that I want to build a hostel for the community. He further said,If you want for Religion, then give whatever you want.I asked him to tell….Then he said Rs.5000.I informed Babu Ramlal Ji by signing the deal at the same moment. He came to Alwar and registered for the land.

Then we thought for its auspicious beginning. For this Seth Ram Kunwar Ji Dhatariya came Kanpur to bring my father and the auspicious beginning was made by Shri Jhamman Lal Ji. The Contribution in the making of the hostel by Shri Lal Gulzari Lal Ji(Bhatta Walon) is Remarkable.

On those days,Two Confusions were spread in the society.

1.Lala Kishan Narayan Ji came from Pakistan after being looted, the Capital of Union left in Pakistan.
2.Babu Ramlal Ji registered the land for hostel on his own name.

By God’s Grace both the confusions got cleared.

All the accounts were presented in the General Assembly in Rajgarh. Then, all the members considered it correct and confirmed it from Registrar’s Office. In this way,the second confusion also got cleared.

It is also necessary to tell you that the hostel in Rewari was not built up due to the lack of money. There was also an idea to open a hostel in the Community’s Unclaimed Hospice in Rewari, but we didn’t consider it right as there was on Heir.On those days, there was a huge scarcity of money and mind.Even Millionares were not ready to become Life-Time Members at Rs.600.You will be understood by two or three examples.

Seth……..Ji was made a Life-Time Member at Rs.600.A receipt was given to him,but even after so many days,no money was received from him. This receipt got cancelled in Rajgarh’s Assembly.Seth Ram Kunwar Dhatariya went to Mandhan with us.He pleaded Seth……. Ji there, but we didn’t get success.

On that evening, riding on a camel,we reached Bardod at midnight, then we reached Hatundi Village, where so many people were looted on those days.We went there along with Dhatariya Ji but had to come back with great disappointment. Then,we went to Khidanpur Gotoli and arranged the meeting with all the brothers, but not even a single brother was ready to become a member at Rs.61.Again,with great disappointment,we reached Jodiya at night. Not even a single person was there to become a member. We came back hopelessly.

There is a famous saying “Bin Maange Moti Mile,Maange Mile Na Bheekh….”,this happened to us,but today everyone wants to become a member of the Service Union. This Saga is full of ups and downs, but for today it is enough….
